Ampulex Dementor est un jeune groupe puisqu'il a été fondé en 2015, par un seul homme, Stefan Forsberg. Celui-ci est basé à Lunde dans le nord de la Suède.

"Crimson Highway" a été enregistré dans le propre studio (The Craft) de Stefan, de l'automne 2015 jusqu'à l'été 2016. Cet album a été géré entièrement par lui.
