revoici votre serviteur récidivant de sanglante manière, accompagné cette
fois-ci par sa Fée de Sang. Nous voilà donc en quête de substance filthienne
pour ce second live-report de la tournée "Creatures from the Black Abyss".
2. Twilight of Satan…
Suite à
un fort désagréable contre-temps (qui vous sera narré en toute fin de
live-report), nous arrivâmes en plein milieu de From the running of blood. Ce fut l’occasion pour nous de découvrir
une salle ample, dans laquelle il était assez aisé de se diriger. Assez déçus
d’arriver en retard, nous fûmes assez rapidement mis dans la noire ambiance
avec l’immédiat Wound upon wound :
Bénéficiant
d’un bien meilleur son qu’à Bochum, les guitares sont malgré tout apparues
encore quelque peu en retrait par rapport à l’ensemble. Malgré tout, ce fut
avec un plaisir non dissimulé que ce titre se déroula, emportant avec lui les
faveurs du public présent.
Revenant
sensiblement en arrière, l’antique feeling de Gorgoroth refit son apparition avec Exit - Through carved stones, comme vous pouvez l’entendre sur
cette archive audio :
Tout
comme Wound upon wound, la différence
par rapport au show de Bochum se situa en termes d’une qualité sonore nettement
supérieure.
De pied
ferme, j’attendais le profond Alt liv,
aussi brillant en studio qu’en live. Et ce soir-là à Charleroi, tous mes
espoirs furent pleinement récompensés au travers d’une interprétation superbe
de bout en bout, avec un Gaahl hallucinant :
A la
performance vocale s’est imprimée une performance au niveau de la prestance,
car Mr Gaahl se sera littéralement transcendé sur ce morceau particulier. Moi
et ma Fée de Sang nous en souviendrons fort longtemps…

au brûlot Prosperity and beauty,
c’est au tour de This from the past
de venir conclure ce concert en terre belge :
Même si
je persiste à trouver ce morceau trop convenu, je l’aurai malgré tout bien plus
apprécié que lors du 8 décembre dernier à Bochum.
Au final, et même si nous
aurons assisté à une prestation écourtée sous le tranchant du vil destin, ce
concert de God Seed nous aura
frappés dans un premier temps par son immédiateté. Puis il exalta un Gaahl en
très grande forme (malgré semble-t-il quelques soucis vocaux, Gaahl touchant sa
gorge par exemple sur Wound upon wound).
Il me semble que l’homme gagna en prestance à mesure que les prestations se
déroulaient sur la présente tournée, hypothèse qu’il me restait à confirmer
pour le show londonien ayant lieu le lendemain…

Forever filthy…
Après
cette mise en bouche norvégienne, moi et ma Fée de Sang étions déjà en
ébullition alors que le fond de scène apparaissait. L’Ordre du Dragon nous
clignait de l’œil, interpellant nos âmes. Ce symbole lourd de sens allait nous
guider vers les hymnes vampiriques des grandioses et extravagants Cradle of Filth…
… et
alors que résonne Tiffauges, nos
premiers cris se font entendre à mesure que chaque musicien investit la scène.
Nous trouvant à à peine deux mètres de l’impressionnant Paul Allender, la
fièvre cradelienne avait déjà eu fort raison de nous. Dès les premiers coups de
caisse claire de Tragic kingdom, Dani
Filth vint extirper de notre gorge nos plus sincères et dévoués hurlements…
avant de laisser place aux siens, d’emblée médusants. Tout comme à Bochum, la
mise en place instrumentale fut quelque peu difficile sur ce titre-ci, même si
atténuée ce soir-là.
Souhaitant
conserver une rapidité d’exécution, Cthulhu
dawn vint exprimer une ferveur manifeste (notamment dans le regard de Paul
Allender…), même si je resta une fois de plus frustré par un manque de guitare
dans le rendu de l’ensemble.
Le
silence se fit de manière relative (car le public belge aura su se faire
entendre), et Dani Filth nous présenta ses quelques mots de bienvenu. Ceux-ci
vinrent introduire ce pavé de crépuscule que constitue Funeral in Carpathia, dont vous pouvez hautement vous délecter
ici :
Autant
le dire de manière limpide : l’interprétation de ce soir fut magistrale,
où les cris suraigus du sieur Filth ont fleuré l’excellence pure, en
réussissant l’exploit inouï de me renvoyer à la grande époque de 1996 ! En
effet, lorsque nous regardions Dani en plein effort vocal, je crus faire un
bond en arrière dans le temps, et voir devant mes yeux cet homme vêtu d’une
chemise à jabots ensanglantée. Car oui, Dani a retrouvé le quasi exact feeling
de cette époque faite de grandeur et de décadence. De plus, soulignons la
maestria des chœurs de Caroline Campbell, bien plus présents qu’à Bochum ;
nous aurons même le plaisir d’ouïr avec un parfait équilibre la fameuse et
culte tirade « Never leave me ».
CULTE.
Ce fut
un véritable défi que de sortir l’âme de cette magnifique pièce de "Dusk… and Her Embrace", ce qui fut
facilité par la rythmique acérée de Summer
dying fast. Enfiévrée, l’interprétation fut relativement équivalente à
celle du 8 décembre dernier à Bochum.
Dans la
continuité, Lilith immaculate s’est
inscrit dans une interprétation équivalente à celle du concert germanique. Par
contre, les vocaux furent à mon sens quelque peu imprécis.
Ce ne
fut pas le cas de Nymphetamine (Fix),
dont l’interprétation fut excellente. Je vous laisse en jugez par
vous-mêmes juste ici :
Tout
comme à Bochum, l’équilibre fut très juste entre tous les types de vocaux, même
si ici la sonorisation des différents chants fut bien supérieure à celle du
concert allemand. Quel plaisir de se laisser porter moi et ma Fée de Sang par
cette langoureuse mélodie…
Revenant
à des considérations plus incisives et agressives, Cradle of Filth se tourna vers le nouvel opus du groupe au travers
de For your vulgar delectation. L’interprétation
fut relativement équivalente à celle de Bochum, tout comme ce fut le cas pour
un Born in a burial gown bougrement
efficace.
Après
avoir calmé un idiot présent dans la fosse, Dani Filth vint nous présenter un
cultissime titre issu de "Vempire"
(même si ici le sieur présente le titre en question comme issu de "The principle of evil made flesh"…
bien que la version présentée est bel et bien celle de "Vempire" !). Ouvrez-vous les
veines en accédant à The forest whispers my name :
Comme
vous pouvez le constater, l’interprétation fut encore meilleure qu’à Bochum,
particulièrement enlevée. Tout comme pour Funeral
in Carpathia, les hurlements suraigus de Dani Filth fleuraient bon la grande
époque de 1996. De plus, soulignons cet excellent break qui revint à chaque
concert de cette tournée, permettant de surchauffer une audience conquise de
bout en bout.
Les
décibels retombent doucement pour le traditionnel entracte, mais la fièvre
reste intacte. En effet, les cris de l’audience continuent à se faire entendre
encore et encore, alors que débute The
unveiling of O. Ma Fée de Sang et moi-même nourrissons à ce moment-là
l’espoir que The abhorrent surgisse
enfin, souhaitant que la frustration de Bochum ne se reproduise pas une
nouvelle fois…
Le
groupe investit de nouveau la scène et quatre coups de caisse claire volcanisent
la scène pour la délivrance : The
abhorrent ! Enfin !! Agressif et efficace à souhait, le second
extrait pour ce soir du nouvel opus "The
manticore and other horrors" fut à la mesure de ce nous pouvions espérer.
L’ensemble du groupe fut à l’unisson pour demeurer fidèle à la version studio,
balayant tout sur son passage. Autant dire que mes cordes vocales furent mises
à rude épreuve…
L’enchainement
avec la tirade effectuée par Caroline Campbell fut parfait : nous voici
offert sur un plateau maculé de sang Cruelty
brought thee orchids :
Par
rapport au concert de Bochum, l’interprétation fut équivalente, à savoir
grandiloquente et magistrale. Nous faisant revivre les sanglantes heures de
1998, ma Fée de Sang et moi-même furent transportés vers les contrées sauvages
de la Hongrie, séquestrés de notre plein gré dans quelque obscur manoir…
Après
telle tragique symphonie, Dani Filth nous gratifia de sa mythique introduction
pour nous entrainer dans la brume, classieuse brume : Her ghost in the fog s’évapora soudain en nos âmes…
Déjà
brillante à Bochum, je dois bien avouer que ce soir-là à Charleroi je fus
encore plus impressionné. Tout fut parfaitement en place, et le brio de
Caroline Campbell fut à son paroxysme. En effet, elle a su briller par un
symphonisme incroyable, presque aussi impressionnant que ce que nous pouvons
entendre sur la version studio.
Après
toutes ces émotions nous en arrivâmes déjà à la fin de ce majestueux concert
avec le désormais traditionnel From the
Cradle to Enslave, dont je vous gratifie ici :
Dans
une interprétation catchy à souhait et avec toute la fougue exigée, je dois me
résoudre aux stricts mêmes commentaires que pour Her ghost in the fog. En effet, l’interprétation m’aura proprement
scotchée. Toute la bande filthienne fut également à son maximum, avec notamment
un Dani Filth inépuisable, dont la voix resta d’une constance inégalable. Comme
vous pouvez le constater, cette fin de concert ne manqua pas de
superlatifs !!!
Comme
vous pouvez le percevoir et l’ouïr, cette seconde étape cradelienne ne me
laisse pas avare de mots (ni même de cris…), ce qui signifie bien à quel point
cette soirée fut exceptionnelle en tous points, bien meilleure encore que la
prestation de Bochum. Toutes les conditions se trouvaient réunies pour nous
offrir un concert exquis, à commencer par celles du Coliséum où qualité sonore
et qualité lumineuse allèrent de pair. Je ne pourrais que provoquer de futurs
concerts dans cette salle.
Du côté
de la prestation du groupe en elle-même, ce 18 décembre 2012 présenta un Cradle of Filth en très grande forme,
alors qu’étant arrivé à l’avant-dernière date de cette tournée européenne. A
tous les niveaux, la qualité de jeu tout comme d’interprétation furent de haute
volée, rendant le plus bel hommage à toutes les périodes du groupe. Et comme
vous le savez, il y en a un très grand nombre ! D’ailleurs, les plus
vieilles pièces prirent une ampleur que je ne pouvais soupçonner (Funeral in Carpathia et The forest whispers my name en tête…),
faisant revivre cet antique feeling qui ne se trouve donc absolument pas perdu.
Je le savais déjà fort bien au vu de mon expérience précédente avec le groupe
(plus de 15 concerts à mon actif, chers cradeliens…), mais ce soir-là à
Charleroi ce fut entériné de la plus magnifique et de la plus excessive des
manières. Dani Filth apparut comme la plus grande figure d’inhumanité, développant
des vocaux qu’AUCUN autre vocaliste ne se trouve capable d’émettre.
Ma Fée de Sang et moi-même
en sommes ressortis à bout de souffle, la gorge raclée de plaisirs que seul Cradle of Filth se trouve capable de
générer…

4.
Histoire d’un périple (seconde partie)…
Lors de
mon premier live-report cradelien, je vous avais narré le périple neigeux qui
fut le mien. Et je fus loin de me douter que les embuches du destin étaient
loin d’avoir émis leur dernier souffle…
Car en
ce 18 décembre 2012, ma Fée de Sang et moi-même furent piégés par un
interminable embouteillage sur l’autoroute nous menant aux plaisirs cradeliens,
ce qui fut pour moi le pire que j’ai pu connaitre dans ma vie ! Il nous
fallut donc arriver à sortir de l’autoroute, et
tenter de se frayer un chemin au travers de citées surpeuplées de
voitures. Ce cauchemar semblait ne trouver aucune issue, et nous arrivâmes
plusieurs heures en retard.
Le destin
est parfois une vulgaire immondice qui se trouve incapable de nous barrer la
route de son Berceau, celui des plaisirs de sang de notes… où de nos poignets
s’arrachent des cris interminables et éternels.

… here is again your servant reoffending in bloody
ways, this time accompanied by his Fairy of Blood. Here we are searching for
filthy substance for this second live-report from the "Creatures from the Black Abyss"
tour.
Are you ready for the
bloodshed ? Join us or perish…
2. Twilight of Satan…
Because
of an annoying hitch (which will be narrated in the very end of this report),
we came in during From the running of
blood. And we discover a large location, where it was easy to circulate.
Disappointed of being late, we were put right in the dark atmosphere with the
catchy Wound upon wound :
With
a much better sound than in Bochum, the guitars were in retreat despite of that.
But the track injected big pleasure in us, with the favours of the audience.
Going
back in time, the old feeling of Gorgoroth
was reborn through Exit - Through carved
stones :
The
difference with the Bochum show was concerning a higher sound quality.
I
was waiting for the Alt liv track, as
brilliant in live as in studio. And that night in Charleroi, all my hopes were
fully rewarded by a splendid performance, with an haunting Gaahl :
He
made a vocal performance but also a performance in his presence, Gaahl
transcending himself on that particular track. I and my Fairy of Blood will
remember this moment for a long time to come…
Following
Prosperity and beauty, This from the past came to close this
Belgian show :
Even
if I continue to think that this track is too conventional, I’ve appreciated it
much more than in the 8 of December in Bochum.
In
the end, even if we have only assisted to half of the show, this concert from God Seed struck us with its immediacy,
in the first hand. In the second hand, it elated a very healthy Gaahl. It seems
to me that he was getting more and more excellent on every show he has done on
this tour, which I would confirm or not the next day in London…

Forever filthy…
After
this Norwegian appetizer, I and my Fairy of Blood were already high-boiling
when the upstage appeared. The Order of the Dragon was flickering to us, shouting
at our souls. This symbol very significant was ready to lead us to vampyric
hymns of the grandiose and extravagant Cradle
of Filth…
…
and when resonated Tiffauges, our
first screams piped up as every single musician invested the stage. Only two
meters from the stunning Paul Allender, the filthy fever broke apart from us.
As soon as the snare drum’s first strokes of Tragic kingdom, Dani Filth extracted out from our throats our most
honest and devoted howlings… before giving way to his, straightaway staggering.
Just like in Bochum, the instrumental setting up was a little difficult on that
particular track, even if it was faded on our night.
Returning
to real speed in discharge, Cthulhu dawn
came to express an evident fervor (as we could see in the eyes of Paul
Allender…), even if I stayed a little frustrated by a lack of guitars.
Silence
came in some way (because the Belgian audience has been pretty loud), and Dani
Filth presented some words of filthy welcome. They were an introduction to what
we can call a tome of dusk called Funeral
in Carpathia, which can be regaled right here :
My Fairy of Blood and I
came out breathless, throat scraped by pleasures that only Cradle of Filth can give rise to…
In fact, on that 18 of
December 2012, I and my Fairy of Blood were trapped in a never-ending traffic
jam on the motorway, the worst of my whole life ! We needed to get out from
that motorway and trying making our way through cities crowded of cars. This
nightmare seems leading to nowhere, and we arrived some hours late.
Forever filthy…
We
must be clear about that : the tonight’s performance was remarkable, in
which high-pitched screams of mister Filth made the incredible achievement of
making me going back to the grand period of 1996 ! Indeed, whilst we were
watching Dani in a vocal effort, it was like I started back in time, seeing
this man with a bloody frilled shirt. In fact, Dani got back the exact same
feeling of this period build with grandeur and decadence. Furthermore, let me
underline the mastery of the choirs of Caroline Campbell, much more present
than in Bochum ; and we had the biggest pleasure hearing (in a perfect
equilibrium) the soliloquy « Never
leave me ». CULT.
It
was a real challenge to get our souls out from this magnificent piece of "Dusk… and Her Embrace", which was
facilitated by the sharpened rhythm section of Summer dying fast. Burning up, the performance was pretty equal to
the one in Bochum.
Following
on from it, Lilith immaculate
expressed an equal performance with the one in Germany. However, the vocals
were a little hazy according to me.
It
wasn’t the case for Nymphetamine (Fix),
in which the performance was great. You can see and hear it right here :
As
for the Bochum show, the equilibrium was pretty accurate between all kinds of
vocals, even if the voicing was better during the German concert. It was a real
pleasure drifting off I and My Fairy of Blood within this languishing melody…
Returning
to a more aggressive and biting regard, Cradle
of Filth turned to the new album with the For your vulgar delectation track. The performance was equivalent
to the one in Bochum, as for the Born in
a burial gown song which was damn catchy.
Dani
Filth presented us a cult track from "Vempire"
(even if the mister presented it as born from "The principle of evil made flesh"… however the actual version
was from "Vempire" !).
Cut your veins entering The forest
whispers my name :
As
you can see, the performance was much better than in Bochum, pretty spirited.
As for Funeral in Carpathia, the
high-pitched screams from Dani Filth smelled sweetly the grand period of 1996.
Furthermore, we must underling the excellent break which came back for every
show on this tour, which superheated the audience.
The
decibels collapsed slowly for the traditional interlude, but the fever stayed
the same. Indeed, the screams from the audience continued again and again, when
The unveiling of O began. My Fairy of
Blood and I were hoping so strongly that The
abhorrent would come…
And
the band came again on stage and four strokes of snare drum vulcanized the
whole scene for deliverance : The
abhorrent ! Finally !! Aggressive and catchy as hell, the second
extract of the new album "The
manticore and other horrors" for tonight was as good as we could
expect. The band as one was faithful to the studio version, destroying
everything in front of him. So my vocal cords were sorely tested…
The
linkage with the soliloquy from Caroline Campbell was perfect : here is offered
to us Cruelty brought thee orchids on
a bloody platter :
In
comparison with the Bochum show, the performance was pretty the same, so
grandiose and masterful. Experiencing again the bloody hours from 1998, my
Fairy of Blood and I were carried to the wild land of Hungary, confined on our
own free will in an obscure manor…
After
such tragic symphony, Dani Filth rewarded us with his mythical introduction to
make us enter in the fog, class fog : Her
ghost in the fog suddenly dissipated itself into our souls…
Already
superb in Bochum, I must admit that in Charleroi I was even more impressed. Everything
was at its right place, and the maestria of Caroline Campbell was at its best.
Indeed, she shined through an incredible symphonism, almost as stunning as we
can hear on the studio version.
After
all these emotions, we was already at the end of the show with the traditional From the Cradle to Enslave :
It
was catchy and with all the ardour we could expect : I must give the same
commentaries as for Her ghost in the fog.
Indeed, the performance dazed me. The entire filthy band was at its best, and
Dani Filth seems inexhaustible, with an incredibly continual voice. As you can
read, the end of the show needed lots of superlatives !!!
As you can see and hear, this second filthy step
doesn’t let me stingy of words (and screams…), which means how much that night
was remarkable by any standard, much better than in Bochum. All terms were
combined to offer us a delicious show, starting with the sound and luminous
qualities of the Coliséum.
Talking about the performance of the band, on this 18
of December 2012, we saw Cradle of Filth
in a very healthy shape, despite of the fact that they had reached the
penultimate date of this European tour. The quality of the playing was high-flying,
paying tribute to all periods of the Filth.
And as you must know, there are a lot ! Besides, the oldest pieces increased so
much during this show (firstly Funeral in
Carpathia and The forest whispers my
name), making us feel again that antique feeling which isn’t lost at all. I
already knew that because I’ve done more than 15 filthy shows by now, but in
Charleroi this was validated in the most beautiful and excessive ways. Dani
Filth appeared as the biggest figure of inhumanity, developing vocals that NO
ONE can give out.

On my first filthy report, I’ve narrated you the snowy
journey I had endured. But I wasn’t expecting that I’ll be introduced to another
hazard of destiny…
Sometimes destiny is a vulgar filth unable to block
the road to its Cradle, the one made of pleasures of bloody notes… whence tear
interminable and eternal screams away.

reincidiendo por sangrientos caminos, acompañado esta vez por su Hada de
Sangre. Estamos en busca de más suciedad para este segundo reporte en vivo del Creatures
from the Black Abyss tour.
¿Están listos para ver la sangre
correr ? Acompáñennos o mueran…

Debido
a un molesto contratiempo (que narraré al final del reporte) llegamos a mitad
de From the running of blood. Nos
encontramos entonces en un lugar muy amplio, donde era fácil circular.
Decepcionados por llegar tarde, nos fundimos en la oscura atmósfera con la
pegadiza Wound upon wound :
A pesar de que había un
sonido mejor que en Bochum las guitarras sonaban un poco atrasadas. Eso no
importó, introdujeron la canción en nosotros, con gran placer de la audiencia.
Regresando en el tiempo, renació el viejo
sentimiento de Gorgoroth, a través de Exit – Through carved stones :
La
diferencia con el concierto de Bochum fue la calidad del sonido, claramente
mayor.
Esperaba
por una Alt liv en vivo tan magnífica
como en en estudio. Esa noche, en Charleroi, mis deseos se vieron profundamente
recompensados con una actuación espléndida, con un imponente Gaahl :
Una gran interpretación
vocal, y en sí su presencia una gran interpretación, Gaahl se superó a sí mismo
con esta canción en particular. Yo y mi Hada de Sangre recordaremos este
momento por mucho tiempo…
Siguiendo a Prosperity
and beauty, llegó This from the past, justo para cerrar este
show bélgico :
Aún cuando sigo pensando
que esta canción es muy común, realmente me gustó mucho más ese 8 de diciembre
en Bochum.
Al final, incluso cuando
solo vimos la mitad de la presentación, este concierto de God Seed nos
ha llamado mucho la atención, en primera instancia por su cercanía. En segundo
término, Gaahl se mostró muy saludable y eufórico. Creo que en cada
presentación de este tour ha ido mejorado, y me gustaría constatarlo mañana en
Londres…

Forever filthy…
Después de este
aperitivo noruego, mi Hada de Sangre y yo estábamos realmente ansiosos cuando
apareció la escenografía. La Orden del Dragón parpadeaba para nosotros,
llamando desde nuestras almas. Este tan especial símbolo estaba listo para
guiarnos en los vampíricos himnos a la grandeza y extravaganza de Cradle of
Filth…
… y
cuando Tiffauges comenzó a sonar,
nuestros gritos se mezclaron con la entrada de los músicos al escenario. Sólo
dos metros nos separaban del impresionante Paul
Allender, cuando la afiebrada multitud comenzó a separarnos. Tan pronto
como sonaron los primeros golpes de Tragic
Kingdon, Dani Filth arrancó de
nuestras gargantas los más honestos y devotos rugidos… antes de dar paso a los
suyos, siempre asombrosos. Justo como en Bochum, el ajuste de los instrumentos
fue un poco difícil en esa canción, sin embargo, se fundió en nuestra noche.…
Regresando a la
verdadera velocidad, Cthulhu dawn vino a expresar ese fervor tan
evidente en los ojos de Paul Allender, aunque me quedé un poco
desilusionado por la falta de guitarras.
De algún modo se hizo
silencio (el público belga había estado gritando muy fuerte) y Dani Filth pronunció
algunas palabras a modo de sucia bienvenida. Fue una especie de
introducción al crepúsculo de Funeral in Carpathia :
Siendo sinceros sobre esto, la actuación de esa
noche fue notable, en ella, los increíbles tonos altos de Mr. Filth me
remontaron al hermoso periodo de 1996 ! Incluso, mientras apreciábamos ese
esfuerzo vocal de Dani comenzamos a retroceder en el tiempo, viendo a
este hombre con la camisa manchada con sangre. Dani aún posee ese
sentimiento de aquellos tiempos, donde transmite grandeza y decadencia. Aparte
de eso, quisiera mencionar la forma magistral en que Caroline Campbell manejó
los coros, la sentí más cercana que en Bochum, tuvimos también el gran placer
de escuchar (en un perfecto equilibrio) el soliloquio ‘’Never leave me…’’. CULT.
Fue un verdadero desafio entregar nuestras almas en la
magnífica ‘’Dusk… and Her Embrace’’,
aunque se hizo más fácil con el afilado ritmo de ‘Summer dying fast.
Siguiendo a esto, Lilith
immaculate tuvo una representación similar a la de alemania. De cualquier
forma, a mi gusto, las voces estuvieron un poco perezosas.
Ese no fue el caso de
Nymphetamine (Fix), cuya ejecución fue grandiose :
En el recital de Bochum, el equilibro en el tipo de
voces fue perfecto, aún cuando la sonoridad fue superior en el concierto
alemán. Fue un verdadero placer para mi Hada y para mi dejarnos llevar en esta
lánguida melodía…
Volviendo
a algo más agresivo y mordaz, Cradle of
Filth cambió hacia el nuevo álbum con For
Your Vulgar Delectation. La actuación fue muy similar a la de Bochum, y Born in a Burial Gown fue jodidamente
pegadiza.
Dani Filth presentó una canción de culto del ‘’V Empire’’ (aún cuando el señor la presentó como nacida de ‘’The Principle of evil made flesh’’ la
versión era del ‘’V E mpire’’ !)
Córtate las venas con The Forest Whispers
my Name :
Los decibeles disminuían lentamente con el interludio
tradicional, pero la emoción permanecía igual. Además, los gritos de la
audiencia continuaron cuando comenzó The
unveiling of O. Mi Hada de Sangre y yo deseábamos enormemente que viniera The abhorrent...
Y la banda volvió al escenario con cuatro golpes a la batería lo
encendieron todo para entregar… ¡The
abhorrent ! ¡Al fin ! Endemoniadamente agresiva y pegadiza, la segunda prueba
del nuevo álbum ‘’The Manticore and Other
Horrors’’ fue tan buena como la
esperaba. La banda le fue fiel a la versión de estudio y aún así destrozaron
todo lo que tenían delante. Entonces, puse mis cuerdas vocales en una verdadera
prueba…
La
coordinación con el soliloquio de Caroline
Campbell fue perfecto, aquí está, en bandeja sangrienta, una ofrenda a
ustedes, Cruelty brought thee orchids
:
Comparándola con el show de Bochum, la presentación
fue igual de buena, tan grandiosa y magistral. Recordando de nuevo las
sangrientas horas de 1998, mi Hada de Sangre y yo nos transportamos a las
salvajes tierras de Hungría, donde nos confinábamos por voluntad propia en una
oscura mansión…
Después
de tanta trágica sinfonía, Dani Filth
nos recompensó con su mítica introducción, nos introdujo en la niebla. Her ghost in the fog comenzó a disiparse
en nuestras almas…
Casi tan grandioso, debo admitir que en Charleroi me
sentí más impresionado. Todo estuvo en perfecta sincronía, y la maestría de Caroline Campbell se demostró de nuevo.
Brilló sobre todo por su increíble sinfonismo, casi idéntico al que se puede
escuchar en versiones de estudio.
Después
de todas estas emociones, estuvimos listos para el final del show, con la ya
tradicional From the Cradle to Enslave
:
Fue más pegadiza y más
ardiente de lo que pude esperar, debo decir lo mismo de Her ghost in the fog. Definitivamente,
la presentación me enloqueció. La banda completa dio lo mejor, y Dani Filth se veía incansable, con una
voz increíblemente continua. Como puede leerse, ¡el final del show necesita de
muchos superlativos !!!
Como pueden leer y escuchar, este segundo reporte me
deja sin palabras (y sin poder gritar…), lo que significa que esta noche fue
superior a cualquier estándar, mucho mejor que en Bochum. Todo se combinó para
ofrecernos un show delicioso, comenzando con la gran calidad de sonido e
iluminación del Coliséum.
Hablando del performance de la banda, este 18 de
Diciembre de 2012, vimos a Cradle of
Filth en muy buena forma,
descartando la cuestión de que era esta la penúltima fecha del Tour Europeo. La
calidad fue muy alta, pagando tributo a todas las eras de Cradle of Filth. Y, como deben saber, ¡ha habido muchas! Además,
las piezas más antiguas se recuperaron mucho en este show (comenzando por
Funeral in Carpathia y The forest
whispers my name) haciéndonos sentir que ese viejo sentimiento no se ha
perdido del todo. Sé que he ido a más de 15 shows hasta ahora, pero este en
Charleroi ha sido el más hermoso en muchos aspectos. Dani Filth se mostró como
la más grande figura de inhumanidad, entregando esas voces que NINGÚN OTRO
PUEDE.
Mi Hada de Sangre y yo nos quedamos sin aliento, con
la garganta deshecha y el placer que sólo Cradle
of Filth es capaz de provocar…

4. La
historia de un viaje (segunda parte)…
En mi
primer reporte, te narré el nevado viaje que emprendí. Pero no sabía lo que el
destino me iba a mostrar…
De
hecho, ese 18 de Diciembre de 2012, yo y mi Hada de Sangre quedamos atrapados
en la autopista en medio de un atasco interminable, ¡el peor de toda mi vida !
Debíamos salir de la autopista e intentar buscar un camino en medio de las
ciudades repletas de coches. Una pesadilla que nos conducía a ninguna parte y
que nos hizo llegar con algunas horas de retraso.
A veces
el destino es una vulgar inmundicia capaz de bloquearle el camino a Cradle of Filth, a alguien que
encuentra placer en ellos… lejanos y eternos gritos, además de interminables
lágrimas…
